Who makes LootRanger

One person makes this site. I write here as Ranger — a pen name, not my real one, and I say so plainly, because passing a handle off as a legal name would be a lie.

The project started from a simple thought: people go to piracy sites not because they are unwilling to pay, but because they cannot see where it is cheap. Legitimate prices are spread across three dozen stores, the gap runs up to threefold, and nobody is going to compare them by hand. LootRanger puts all of it in one window.

Why you can trust this ranking

Commission does not affect the order. There is only ever one sort order: lowest price first. Stores that pay us nothing at all are shown alongside everyone else, because without them there is no way to tell whether a discount is real.
The data is never edited by hand. Prices, giveaways, descriptions and price history come from open sources and update automatically. We do not move a single row in the table.
Store terms are visible before you buy. Where they differ, there is a marker next to the price — the choice stays yours.
Approximate numbers are called approximate. Currency conversion is marked with «≈», and next to the regional Steam prices there is a warning about getting your wallet locked.

What will never be here

Piracy, keygens and «repacks» — at any level of traffic.
Ad banners and pop-ups.
Paid placement in the table. The moment the order starts depending on money, the site becomes useless — and that is the only reason it will not happen.
